Agricultural Plot

The agriculture plot provides practical experience opportunities for students of Agriculture at Pymble. Students participate in activities such as rearing and feeding livestock and growing fruits and vegetables in the various garden beds. Depending on the time of year, you may be able to find chickens, goats, ducks, sheep or even calves at the ‘Ag Plot’.

Aquatic and Fitness Centre

The Aquatic and Fitness Centre is the centrepiece of the Centenary Sports Precinct. It features a 50m heated indoor eight lane swimming pool with multiple diving platforms, a large purpose-built learn-to-swim pool and a multi-purpose fitness centre incorporating strength and conditioning facilities and consultation and remedial treatment rooms. A truly world class facility.

Avonmoore

Originally a residence for the Principal of the College, Avonmoore is now the administration centre for Sport and Activities.

Centenary Precinct

In a fitting commemoration of our College’s 100 year celebrations in 2016, Pymble has begun construction of the Centenary Precinct. Scheduled to finish in February of 2016 as part of Pymble's centenary celebrations, the precinct will establish our new aquatic and fitness centre, learn to swim pool and redevelop Mollie Dive Field to provide extensive underground parking.

Centenary Walkway

The Centenary walkway is situated beside the entry to the Centenary Precinct Aquatic and Fitness Centre. The walkway is constructed from bricks inscribed with names of the Pymble community.

College Reception

Named in honour of ex-pupil Isabel McKinney Harrison, the College Reception Centre is where you will find most of Pymble's administrative offices. Open during school hours, it is the College's main reception.

College Uniform Shop

The College's dedicated Uniform Shop allows families to purchase all their uniform needs. The shop sells new and second hand clothes and our specialist staff can assist in that all important uniform fitting. Be sure to visit the Uniform Shop page for opening hours and full uniform lists.

Conde Library

Named after Mr John Conde, former Council Member and Chairman, the Conde Library is a first class contemporary learning facility designed to engage both students and staff. With flexible learning spaces, the library caters for both collaborative and individual study. Supported by a dedicated team of professional Teacher Librarians, students are able to enjoy a large collection of books from a wide range of disciplines.

David Blackwell Music School

Named in honour of David Blackwell, former College Council member and Chairman, Pymble's music school features a range of dedicated music-specific learning facilities. This includes a number of customised classrooms, music laboratories, a large gallery space for rehearsal and performance and 16 studios for individual tuition and boarders' instrument practice.

David Macfarlane Centre

The David Macfarlane Centre (DMC) is used as a staff common room for morning tea, lunch and during breaks from teaching. It was named after Mr David Macfarlane, Chairman of the College Council from 1982 until 1987.

Ferguson Building

Supporting Pymble's extensive Visual Arts program, the Ferguson Building caters for the College's Secondary School Visual Arts students. The building provides an art gallery, craft facilities, kilns for pottery, a printing press, and an open courtyard for sculpture. Visit at any time of the day and you should be able to find a Senior School student working on what is sure to be an exceptional HSC Major Work.

Flagpole Lawn

An area of bustling activity as girls greet and farewell each other before and after school, Flagpole Lawn is a popular drop off and pick up point for Secondary School students.

Gate 2

Gate 2 provides entry for coach services and the Kelso Staff Car Park.

Gate 3

Officially named the 'Roland Love Gates', Gate 3 provides convenient access to the rear of the College. The gates are an ideal entry point for those wishing to access facilities such as the Boarding Houses, Mollie Dive Field, the Senior School Centre and the College Uniform Shop.

Gillian Moore Centre for Performing Arts (GMCPA)

Opened in 2005 in honour of Mrs Gillian Moore, the College Principal from 1989 to 2007, the GMCPA is a world-class performing arts centre. With a range of professional features including an auditorium, orchestra pit and fly tower, the centre is suitable for productions of all shapes and sizes. Its state of the art theatrical lighting and sound capabilities stamp Pymble productions with a distinct professionalism.

Gloucester Lawn

Pymble’s historic Gloucester Lawn forms the heart of the Middle School Precinct and is home to our majestic Jacaranda Tree planted in 1947 to commemorate the visit of Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Gloucester.

Goodlet House

Goodlet House provides opportunities to students in Years 10 and 11, who tend to have similar needs at this stage of their secondary school experience, to integrate and engage in all aspects of life as a boarder.

Grey House Walk

Bordering the now privately owned Grey House, former residence of Dr John Marden - the College's founding Principal - Grey House Walk offers alternative pedestrian access to the College campus from Pymble Avenue.

Health Care Centre

The College's dedicated on-campus Health Care Centre is available to all Pymble students. Equipped with ward capacity, it provides students with access to a Physiotherapist as well as team of professional nurses, one of whom lives onsite to attend to emergencies outside of College hours.

Heritage Centre

Located underneath the War Memorial Chapel, the Heritage Centre houses an extensive archive collection. With items on display dating back to when the College was established in 1916, the Centre has an integral place in the College. With a range of historical photographs, trophies and sports memorabilia, the Centre is always an interesting visit for past, current and prospective families. The Heritage Centre is also the heart of the Ex-Students’ Union (ESU) where the committee convenes for its regular meetings and other related ESU events.

James Kelso Pavilion and Field

Running alongside the main driveway, the James Kelso Pavilion and Field provide a picturesque alternative to the Main Oval. Opened in 1990, the field is regularly occupied by carnivals, training sessions and competitive matches. The pavilion which sits aside the field is often used as an idealistic outdoor classroom and canteen during sports days.

Jeanette Buckham Physical Education Centre

This outstanding indoor physical education centre features a gymnasium, gymnastics centre, weight training room, indoor courts for basketball, netball, badminton and volleyball, plus video facilities and classrooms. Beyond Physical Education, the Centre also provides a sizeable indoor space for large College events such as Speech Night and the annual Careers Expo.

Joan Hammond House

Joan Hammond House is open and available to all members of the boarding community to use and is suitable for a broad range of purposes. It may be used as a meeting place, a work centre, a venue for families to meet, a place for travellers to freshen up and wait for their daughters, a place where friends who visit our girls can meet, and a place where families will find peace and quiet and space to be on their own when time for visiting is limited.

Junior School

With its own exclusive library, playground and hall, Pymble's Junior School is an exceptionally well-resourced learning precinct. Girls from Year 3 to Year 6 are able to enjoy a range of innovative learning spaces, including a unique open learning environment for our Year 5 students.

Lang House

Lang House provides Year 12 boarders with dedicated resources, care and support required by students during their final year at the College. Lang House enables the girls to maintain connections and support for each other during their final year of schooling in what can often be a difficult and stressful time.

Liane Tooth Field

Set amongstthe College's picturesque tree line, Liane Tooth Field is a set of three multi-purpose sports courts used predominantly by our Preparatory and Junior students.

Main Colonnade

The founding building of the College in 1916, the Main Colonnade with its iconic arches has seen nearly 100 years of Pymble girls pass through. Located alongside the picturesque Gloucester Lawn and Jacaranda Tree, the Colonnade has recently undergone a restoration to ensure it provides the foundations for another 100 years of outstanding Pymble students.

Main Hall

Part of the original Colonnade building, the Main Hall is a central College location used for events, Boarders' dining, and examinations.

Main Oval

Pymble's picturesque Main Oval dominates the landscape as you enter Marden Gates and is frequently abuzz with students at play. Surrounded by an historic white fence, the Main Oval has been a hallmark of the College since its foundation in 1916.

Marden Gates

Named in honour of Dr John Marden, the first Principal of Pymble Ladies' College, Marden Gates is the main entry point to the College. First erected in 1927, the iconic gates are a grand sight as you enter the long driveway towards the Main Oval.

Marden House

Boarders in Years 7, 8 and 9 call Marden House home. Programs and activities in Marden House are designed for this age group and facilitate the social, recreational and learning needs of students, while providing a positive and enjoyable experience.

Media Room

In support of Pymble's ever-popular (and growing) Media Program, students are able to utilise a fully equipped media production suite. With a sound-proof studio, green screen and advanced audio and video editing hardware, students from Kindergarten to Year 12 are able to consistently produce a wide range of fun and award-winning films.

Middle School

The Middle School precinct is an inspiring and dynamic learning space for Years 7 and 8.

Mollie Dive Field

Mollie Dive Field is used for various sports and activities such as hockey and tennis and will be redeveloped to provide extensive underground parking as part of the Centenary Prencinct.

Preparatory and Junior Schools pick-up/drop-off area

A short walk from both the Preparatory and Junior School, this designated supervised area is where our youngest girls are dropped off and picked up each day. Supervised by College staff, it ensures a quick and smooth transition to the classroom for our students.

Preparatory School

Pymble’s Preparatory School captures and extends the inquisitive nature of young children as they negotiate their learning journey in a safe and supportive environment. The purpose-built precinct is perfect for our youngest students from Kindergarten to Year 2, providing creative, engaging and visually exciting learning spaces that capture each girl’s interests.

Preparatory School Riverbed

The natural environment of the dry riverbed is where Preparatory School students engage in investigative and creative play. The space is complete with two bridges, winding stepping stones and a multi-level sandpit.

Pymble Train Station

Pymble train station is just a safe three minute walk from the College campus. Located on Sydney's North Shore train line, the station provides convenient access to Sydney's city centre via a 25-minute train trip.

Science Centre

The College's dedicated Science Centre was opened in 1994 and includes 12 well-equipped modern laboratories and learning spaces, along with a fully integrated science lecture theatre.

Senior School Centre

Opened in 2009 and named in honour of the former Chairperson of the College Council, Mrs Kate Mason, the Senior School Centre – Kate Mason Building is a specialist educational facility purpose built and designed to address the unique requirements of senior students. With a focus upon world-class, flexible educational facilities, the Centre features high-visibility rooms, a 260-seat lecture theatre and a circular conference room equipped in partnership with CISCO for state-of-the-art video conferencing.

Speech and Drama Centre

The Speech and Drama Centre is used as a learning and meeting space for Speech and Drama students.

Sporting Courts

Pymble is home to a diverse range of world class sporting facilities that includes 13 basketball/netball courts and 25 outdoor tennis courts.

Sustainability Garden

The Sustainability Garden is part of the College's sustainability initiative. Maintained by Middle School students, it teaches the importance of recycling materials in the garden, sourcing sustainable seeds and tools, saving water and much more.

Technology and Applied Studies Centre

In support of Pymble's award winning Technology and Applied Studies (TAS) program, the College's TAS Centre provides a range of outstanding specialist facilities. With dedicated woodwork workshops, fully-equipped textiles learning spaces, and a commercial kitchen, Pymble's TAS students are superbly supported in their studies.

The Hub – IT Centre

The Hub is the home to Information Technologies at Pymble. Offering an innovative learning space for both students and staff to the maximise their use of technology, The Hub also delivers the day-to-day IT support services to the College.

The Pavilion

Set alongside our Centenary Precinct, The Pavilion is a multipurpose venue that accommodates a range of College programs, events and activities.

Underground Car Park

An underground car park for approximately 230 vehicles is located below Mollie Dive Field as part of the Centenary Sports Precinct. The car park includes a dedicated drop-off and pick-up zone for the Junior School.

Upper School

For girls in Years 9 and 10, the Upper School precinct lies within close walking distance to a number of the College's key learning facilities. As girls prepare for their final years at Pymble, they are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning and the welfare of others.

War Memorial Chapel

Sitting alongside the historical Jacaranda Tree and Main Colonnade, the Chapel hosts services nearly every day of the year and is a popular venue for the weddings of ex-students. With intricate stained glass windows adorning the Chapel's walls and a 1068-pipe organ first constructed in 1886, the Chapel is the geographical and spiritual heart of Pymble Ladies' College.
