Army Cadets encourages service, leadership, teamwork and outdoor skills. Students learn to be confident, self-sufficient, disciplined and to commit mentally and physically to challenging activities.
Preparatory Artmaking
These artmaking classes will explore students’ personal expression and imagination. A love of artmaking will be fostered whilst working with different media and creating artworks inspired by famous artists and the world around them.
Junior Artmaking
Students will have the opportunity to discover their creativity and develop their imagination in a unique and individual way.
Ceramics
Ceramics allows students the opportunity to work with their hands to design and create functional or sculptural forms.
Cartooning
Learn how to create your own characters and how your most loved characters are created. You will also learn skills like shading and form building to make more realistic drawings. We will learn important emotions and gestures, plus font creations and landscape designs.
Book Club is offered to students in Year 7 to 9. The club will be focused on students coming together in the beautiful Library and its surroundings.
It will be an opportunity to review and recommend books you are currently reading or have read, be the first to access new books in the library and enjoy reading in places you may not normally frequent.
Drop the stress, relax and re-charge. This program gets your heart racing, your muscles working and gives an ecstatic feeling of accomplishment and relaxation. Learn basic self-defence techniques and safety strategies while you de-stress and let go of the tension. Benefits of the program include physical fitness, stress reduction, self-defence, personal safety and life skills.
Chess is not only a fun and social activity for students, but it also aids in the development of critical thinking skills such as problem solving, decision making, concentration, visual and lateral thinking.
The Create with Code, Design with Code and Code to Design courses enable students to learn how to code in a fun and engaging way. Students will learn to make their own games, animations, apps or digital art while picking up valuable skills in programming languages and in algorithmic thinking.
Co-Curricular Dance has three focus areas. Performance looks at dance technique, safe dance practice and performance quality. In Composition, students explore the process of choreographing a dance work. Whilst the third focus area, Appreciation, provides girls with the opportunity to look at dance history and analysis of dance works.

Major Film Project
The Years 9 to 12 Major Film Project allows students to work in a large collaborative group and become a film production company. They will learn the art of scriptwriting, pre-production, production, and post-production.
Theatresports
Improvisation extends beyond the Drama classroom – it is a useful life skill. In Theatresports, students are trained to effectively improvise in small groups to develop the skills to confidently create engaging characters and moments on the stage.
Tropfest
Students in Year 7 and 8 will be guided by industry professionals to understand how movies are made and to experience this process first-hand, by learning how to combine all the elements of the arts to create their own short narrative film for entry into Tropfest Junior.
Lights, Camera, Action
Students in Year 4 to 6 will be guided by industry professionals to understand how movies are made and to experience this process first-hand, by learning how to combine all the elements of the arts to create their own short narrative film.
Drama Festival Teams
Students will learn through practical workshops how to craft a script and engage in analysis that brings the character to life for students Year 5 to 12.
Drama Skills and Performance (Prep and Junior)
Drama Skills and Performance is focused on developing young actors and theatre makers to speak and perform on stage, which is an important life skill.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a youth development program for 14 to 25-year old’s in more than 125 countries around the world. The award offers a framework for all young people in Australia to develop valuable life skills and to make a real contribution to their personal development and their community.
Debating
Debating is offered to students in the Secondary School. The College competes in the Independent Schools Debating Association (ISDA), Friday Evening Debating (FED) and Archdale competitions.
Mock Programs (Selective)
Mock Mediation
Mock Mediation is a highly valued course run by The Law Society of NSW. The competition involves role play in response to given scenarios. Teams are given a conflict scenario. They break it down and resolve the issue using forward thinking, positive communication and co-operative problem-solving skills. The aim is to try and deal with conflicts without going to Court.
Mock Trial
Mock Trial is a practical means of introducing students to the law and to increase understanding of the basis of our judicial system.
Mooting
The National High School Mooting Competition is an event for Year 11 and 12 students to develop their advocacy skills in a competitive environment.
MUNA (Model United Nations Assembly)
MUNA is a long-running Rotary competition, organised globally to allow students to learn and engage with United Nations (UN) mechanisms.
Public Speaking
Public Speaking class is a Co-Curricular offering. Classes combine theory and practice and aim at developing confidence in speaking, and tips for structuring engaging speeches. A range of speeches are analysed and students work individually and in groups to present their own speeches.
A wonderful hands-on, creative course, that teaches not only the fun parts of creating and making, but also core business skills. Each class the students make non-toxic, wholesome and natural health and beauty products.
Digital Photography and Cameraless Processes
This program is available for students from Year 7 to 12. The program begins with a range of fun outdoor activities designed around understanding photography fundamentals before moving into the lighting studio. Here, students will be shown professional lighting techniques and tricks whilst experimenting in portraiture, still life and their own creative studio work. There will be a focus on broadening individual creative skills by fully understanding the technical capability of a DSLR camera and mastering it in full manual mode. Students will progress to work in the photographic darkroom, experimenting with photogram construction and various cameraless processes.
The goal of Speech and Drama is to develop confident speakers in a supported learning environment. By learning and practicing sound vocal techniques in class, students are equipped and confident to speak effectively in any situation. This program unlocks the imagination, develops communication skills, refines artistry and promotes interaction and friendships.
Robotics
The Robotics programs provides an opportunity for students to become active problem solvers and engage in their own learning. Robotics is a fun way for students to develop 21st Century skills and we hope to provide your daughter with the time, space and purpose to tinker with robots, solve open-ended problems and bring their ideas into reality.
Fabulous Food
This course provides students with the inspiration, knowledge and skills to prepare delicious, good-looking foods that are trendy (and healthy!)
Totally Textiles
This class assists students in the development of textile skills in the construction of a range of student selected, simple projects. Students are individually led through the creation of their chosen projects.
Barista
This Barista course is designed to teach participants how to be skilled Baristas. In this interactive and highly practical course, participants will learn skills that will greatly assist them in gaining employment in a hospitality venue.
Yoga
This program is an all-encompassing mindfulness practice. It will teach you powerful tools such as Resilience, reducing anxiety, enabling a strong growth mindset, coping with test stress, performing better in sports/curricular activities and increases flexibility for athletes and dancers.
