Students Attend Diving Country Championships and Meet Rhiannan Iffland

After an exciting two weeks of holiday diving where the newly installed dive bubble was the highlight of the sessions, a team of both Junior and Secondary school divers travelled to Wauchope on Friday 22 January to Sunday 24 January for the Country Diving Championships.

It was a fantastic weekend of diving with blazing sunshine in an outdoor pool and a great opportunity to dive in a fun and relaxed regional competition.

The diving events, team dinners and camaraderie of the weekend provided enjoyment for both the divers and their families. A highlight for all the divers was the opportunity to meet Rhiannan Iffland, Red Bull World Champion Cliff Diver and Country Diving Championships Ambassador for 2021. Rhianna started her diving career as a young diver in Newcastle and with courage and determination has pursued her dream to become a Champion on the world stage in the spectacular and nerve-wracking sport of Cliff Diving.
