Mother love at High Tea

Friday 6 May, 2016

There was a lot of love in the rooms of the Preparatory School on Thursday 5 May, as mothers and daughters enjoyed the first ever Mother Daughter High Tea. This was a special PSPG event and was greatly anticipated by both the students and their guests

The girls and their VIP guests enjoyed savoury snacks, fruit and mini treats around beautifully laid tables complete with place cards, table centre pieces and fairy lights. The girls thought it all looked as pretty as a wedding!

Afterwards everyone played trivia games and placemat activities, “Just like you do sometimes in real restaurants!” which were facilitated by the Preparatory School Liaison Prefects and several Senior School volunteers.

“It was about creating a special time for mothers and daughters to assist the girls to understand the importance of have quality time together ahead of Mother’s Day,” said Mrs Karen Ahearn, Head of Preparatory School.

“We spoke to the girls before the event about the importance of respecting their mothers and grandmothers and being grateful for what they do for us each day. Care and Respect are two important core values of Pymble and this was a way for the girls to show how much we do value mothers and carers in our community.”

Thank You

Thank all those who provided assistance to ensure that our first Preparatory School Mother Daughter High Tea was such a success. Special thanks to our Preparatory School Parent Group Leader, Mrs Maria Papadimitriou and parent organisers Kristina Rhee and Priscilla Sung.
