Life on a Farm for Year 2
Tuesday 31 March, 2020
As a school catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 12, one of the lovely opportunities we often have is to have older students interacting with our Preparatory School girls.
Two of our amazing Year 10 Boarders, Amelia (Milly) Browning from Mebul and Chloe Moore from Armidale via Walgett didn’t hesitate when asked to present to our Year 2 girls on the topic of water recently. Milly and Chloe were interesting and informative and gave Year 2 a real insight into what life is like on a farm, especially when there is no water.
As Mrs Catherine Casey, Year 2 Co-ordinator, commented: “It was great to see the girls stretching their perspective and hearing about experiences that are so unlike their own. It helps to build empathy!
The generosity of spirit demonstrated by Milly and Chloe in sharing their knowledge is a good reflection of the strong leadership skills these girls are developing.
