Community Development and Leadership Summit
Monday 1 December, 2014
Four Year 10 students have spent two weeks in India attending the 9th annual Community Development and Leadership Summit (CDLS). Students and teachers from 22 schools in 18 different countries gathered at the Modern School in New Delhi for the summit, which ran from Thursday 13 November to Saturday 22 November.
The key objective of CDLS was to encourage mutual exchange of ideas and develop leaders who will help the young leaders of tomorrow make informed choices about their roles in the world communities.
The girls, accompanied by their student co-ordinator, were also able to explore the sights of New Delhi and participate in both community development and leadership activities. The Home Stay program allowed them to live in the home of a family in New Delhi, providing such valuable insight into the Indian culture and way of life.
