Centenary Precinct update: August 2014

Thursday 14 August, 2014

Since construction on the Centenary Precinct commenced six weeks ago, there has been significant progress on site. The building site establishment has been completed including the erection of fencing and sheds, and services to the site have been disconnected. Demolition of the two pools and the Mollie Dive surface has commenced. The roof of the old pool grandstand will also shortly be removed.

We are delighted to advise that the separation of the construction site from the College has run smoothly and effectively. To date there have been very few interruptions to the normal operations of the College.

Demolition of the site has also revealed a surprise discovery of the College’s first pool shell immediately below the existing 50 metre pool, including the north and east walls, and entire pool base.
