Boarding Houses Makeover Update
Thursday 22 October, 2020
We are delighted to report that our Goodlet House renovation is nearly complete. Mr Boyes, Campus Manager, and his team are on track for completion at the end of the December/January break, when the large dormitories will be finished to provide increased privacy, functionality and a beautiful environment for our Years 10 and 11 girls.
It was the turn of Lang House to have its fireplaces restored to their former glory (minus the flames!) over the break. Thanks again to Mr Boyes for his determination to care for and celebrate the heritage of our beautiful Boarding homes.
Ella Jones and Brianna Kierath, our Head and Deputy Head Boarders for 2021, write: Our thanks and admiration go to Mr Malcolm Boyes, Campus Manager, who has worked tirelessly to bring our Boarding refurbishment to fruition. For more than two years, Mr Boyes has been planning and working towards creating a beautiful and functional home for our Boarders. We have all appreciated his steady approach and meticulous attention to detail.
It has been a challenging project with every room set out in a different configuration. Meeting the needs of a building that is almost 100 years old is no mean feat! Mr Boyes has never wavered in his commitment to delivering a quality and functional outcome and we are grateful for his diligence and expertise.
