Today we close the doors for the last time on an important part of Pymble Ladies’ College history to make way for an exciting new chapter in sport at the school with the building of the Centenary Precinct.
Last Wednesday, we invited the members of our 2014 IGSSA Squad and 2014 IPSSHA Team to come together one last time and celebrate a place so many of them have come to know as a second home. While the next 18 months will see our squads train across a number of locations, as well as the sad departure of our Year 12 swimmers, these girls will carry with them the unique friendships that are formed through those (very) early morning starts, late evening training sessions and many a sacrificed weekend in the pursuit of a common goal. While we will miss the sunshine and summer afternoons on pool deck, we are extremely excited to herald in a new era of swimming at Pymble and cannot wait to see what we can achieve with the opening of the new Aquatic Centre in 2016!
Not pictured in our photos below are Year 12 swimmers – Brie Harrison, Shani Wijetilaka, Grace Zhang and Paris Zhang, but we thank these four girls for their contribution to Pymble Swimming over the years. Shani Wijetilaka has also been an instrumental Swimming staff member over the past 18 months, and has put so much of her passion for swimming back into the Pymble Preparatory and Junior School swimmers.
