Kids Teaching Kids 2015

Year 8 students took on the role of teachers at the Pymble Kids Teaching Kids day on Thursday 10 September 2015. The students presented workshops on sustainability initiatives and environmental issues to Pymble Junior School students as well as students from local primary schools Knox Grammar School, Denistone East Public School, Wahroonga Preparatory School and Our Lady of Perpetual Succour. Year 8 students from Callaghan College were also in attendance.

Keynote speaker and Pymble ex-student, Belinda Bean spoke on Permaculture in Small Spaces. Belinda was one of six speakers to present a series of talks throughout the day.

Pymble students are among 10,000 school children from across Australia participating in the Kids Teaching Kids Program. Since the program was first introduced in 2000, more than 100,000 school children have taken up the challenge to help conserve our environment and learn about sustainability through the Kids Teaching Kids Program.
