About Centenary

Our Centenary in 2016 celebrated a hundred years of history and heritage at Pymble Ladies’ College. Opening on 8 February 1916 as Presbyterian Ladies’ College Pymble, the College welcomed 60 girls and young women as it’s inaugural student cohort, 20 of whom were boarders. The new College commenced under joint control of the same Council and Principal, Dr John Marden, as Presbyterian Ladies’ College Croydon.

A number of exciting events and activities were showcased throughout the year, both locally and across the globe, and we celebrated the diverse history and heritage of the College.  Our interactive timeline provides you with a wonderful insight in to Pymble’s past, present and future.
